Ok, when I read the title of the single, 'Chasing Pirates', I was a bit skeptical, like is that serious? But then... I listened to the song and it's very catchy! I don't know, it's pretty different from what we've heard before but I like it.
However, I think that this new sound may be more common, it can be found in other singers. So maybe she is kind of losing the style and sound that used to identify her, the Norah Jones' stamp. Perhaps if this song was sung by other artist I wouldn't like it and now I just like it because it's Norah and because it's new and different.
I think this is just part of her evolution as an artist and no matter how much we fans like the old jazzy Norah, she won't change her sound if she feels she wants to do this new thing now.
Anyway, I think it's too soon to decide, first I have to listen to the whole new cd and then I'll compare and make up my mind! In the meantime, I'll keep on listening to the single (this is like the 10th time!).

Maybe it doesn't have the Norah sound... but just remember... we didn´t think the same about Thinking About You at the time it came on ...

I think we cannot make a previous judgement of the new record while we just have listened a single... I'm pretty sure this coming album will be a bit different, but in essence will be Norah sound and we all will love it...

esta muy bueno el tema... es distinto, pero es muy bueno.

mas se repite y mas me asombra la caracteristica q tenemos de siempre estar retisentes a lo nuevo, o por lo menos muchas personas.
